Ingredients & Supplies:
- Fresh Thyme Leaves (you can use your spice Thyme if you do not have fresh leaves)
- Pure Water (we use Berkey filtered water)
- Honey (preferably Manuka, or Local Honey, or Honey in general)
- Ball Jars & Lids
- Qt Saucepan & Lid
- Strainer (or cheesecloth, or cotton towel, etc)
Simple Instructions:
- Wash your thyme leaves if freshly cut out of your herb garden.
- Place in 2 qt saucepan with pure water.
- Cover and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, turn off the heat and let the thyme and water steep (sit) for about 20 minutes.
- Add your desired amount of honey to your glass jar(s).
- Once your thyme tea is done steeping, pour it into a clean glass jar using a strainer, cheesecloth, or strainer.
- Once you verify the tea is strained to your desire, pour it into the jars with honey. It is hot, so you may need to grab the glass with a dishtowel.
- Stir the tea and honey to help it dissolve.
